QotD: A Tip About Tipping
What's your method for calculating a tip?
I look at the first two or three numbers on the bill. I move the decimal point in my head to make it 10%. Rounding the numbers up or down (depending on the situation), I multiply that figure by 2 to get 20%. Voila! That's how much tip is! (Unless the person serving me didn't do a good job.)
Example:
$24.89 = $2.48
$2.48 = either $2.40 or $2.50
$4.80 or $5.00 = the amount of the tip
